Raw Food Diet Recipe - Raw Squash Soup
My Fall Favorite! Raw Squash Soup!
I use a yellow squash such as butternut and let it sit at room temperature after purchasing. I peel the squash, seed it and cut it into cubes. I warm some pure water on the stove, careful not to heat it over 110 degrees.
Put the squash into a good vita mix blender or food processor and ad some of the warm water. Blend until smooth. Ad the following ingredients:
1 carrot, washed with the ends cut off
½ small onion, chopped
1 clove of garlic
½ bell pepper chopped
Ad the vegetables and blend into a puree. Season to taste with Nama Shoyu. Celtic sea salt, or Braggs Liquid Aminos, cumin, curry, turmeric, basil, rosemary, sage or whatever seasonings you enjoy. Ad the warm water to create desire consistency.
This recipe can be prepared in fifteen minutes for a quick and hardy meal.
